Uva Rara is generally employed as a blending grape, with it adding fruit depth and softness to the mix. It can work admirably by itself, too, such as Silvia’s bright expression that sits in the midweight camp marked by fragrance and a vibrant but savoury fruit expression. The fruit is fermented in steel at no more than 27°C, with a maceration on skins of about 10 days, pumped over two times daily. The wine is matured in stainless steel for 6 months before release. R&R
