Davide and Matteo Merano are the young lions of Liguria, committed to the traditional vineyards and varieties, Vermentino, Pigato and Ormeasco (Dolcetto), but also well-schooled in modern winemaking techniques. Poggio dei Gorlerei’s vineyards are beautifully maintained and well located, offering diverse expressions of site. The winery is cutting edge with modern techniques used to great effect, though only to enhance purity and precision.
