Vadiaperti

Campania

Montefredane, Avellino

Nestled in terrain as breathtakingly mountainous and lush as anywhere in Italy, the Vadiaperti estate, in the heart of Irpinia, continues a tradition that stretches back at least 2000 years.

At 600 metres above sea level, the Vadiaperti estate sits on the border of two of Campania’s most important DOCs, Fiano di Avellino and Greco di Tufo. Today, the vines are tended and the wine made by Raffaele Troisi, son of the late Antonio, who has worked at the family estate since the early 1990s.

Trained in chemistry, Raffaele brings a technical eye to the winery’s production, though he is also deeply committed to tradition. An admixture of intellect and intuition, Raffaele’s approach is about precision and subtle expression, producing wines of deep texture and territorial expression, unobstructed by ornament.
