The Cordero name is a famous one in the Langhe, but it is in Oltrepó Pavese that siblings Francesco, Lorenzo, and Caterina, with the help of their father, Mario, set their sights on a new challenge. The acquisition of Tenuta San Giorgio in Santa Giuletta in 2019 saw them embark on a mission to further elevate the reputation of the region, with a primary focus on Pinot Nero (Noir).

The historic estate, with its 16th century crenelated tower and historic cellars, boasts 22 hectares of vines, with about 20 hectares being old vines. The farming is carried out with a sustainable mindset and a focus on low environmental impact. Organic practices employed from the beginning have resulted in certification in 2022. The winemaking has a modern sensibility to preservation of fruit purity but the winemaking hand is a light one, allowing place and variety to shine.
