Pecorino

Pecorino

Although still not widely known today, it was not long ago that Pecorino was another of Italy’s characterful grapes that was headed for extinction. Luckily saved by Guido Cocci Grifoni in the 1980’s, Pecorino has since been awarded DOC status in Le Marche and Abruzzo. Shunned for its low productivity, Pecorino is well suited to producers who value character and concentration.
