Giacomo Fenocchio 'Villero' Barolo 2016

$375.00 per unit (750ml)

Barolo DOCG

100% Nebbiolo. The estate has 1ha of vines (average of 60 years old) in Villero, in Castiglione Falleto, with a southwest aspect. Clay, Helvetian limestone and a strong presence of iron characterises the soil. The winemaking is traditional with long natural ferments (around 40 days) followed by 6 months in steel to cohere, and then ageing in 35–50hl Slavonian casks for 30 months.

Perfect vintage, ideal harvest conditions allowed Nebbiolo to fully ripen. An extraordinary balance between acidity, tannin, alcohol and extract. Proper structure for long term cellaring 25-40 years. R&R
