100% Nebbiolo. From their property in Neive, Adriano’s plot of the cru ‘Basarin’ is situated at 300m above sea level with a southerly aspect. The riserva typically comes from a section of the vineyard that yields the most intense and age-worthy wines. The fruit is fermented with ambient yeasts and temperature is controlled to keep it below 28°C. Once dry, the wine sits on skins for a further 10 days, before racking to tank and eventually to 35–50-hl casks for maturation. R&R
