Cesalto

With an area under vine of around 150 hectares near the town of Cessalto, in Treviso, Corvezzo is a model operation employing organic farming methods and utilising solar energy for much of its production. Indeed, their approach from viticulture down to recycled paper for the labels reflects the Corvezzo family’s deep respect for the environment in general, and more specifically for their land and what it produces.

Corvezzo’s Terre di Marca range is both a reflection of the history of frizzante wine in this territory, as well as a firm statement about the future. Undergoing a re-fermentation in bottle to produce the gentle mousse, the wines also have a light sediment of spent yeast cells, much like the traditional col fondo styles of old – something old that is very much new again. The family encourage you to gently shake the bottle before opening to disperse this sediment, investing the wines with more flavour and textural detail.
